Back with her first solo recital since 2014, home town girl and crowd favorite Julia Pautz returns with a program full of sunshine and shadow, joy and drama. With pianist Tina Chong the pair presents Beethoven’s resplendent Sonata No. 8 and Ravel’s virtuosic and fiery Tzigane which opens with a rhapsodic multi-minute violin cadenza pulled straight from the strings of a gypsy violinist of yester-year.
